The Social Justice Research Centre

The Social Justice Research Centre was established in 1997 and has acquired a national reputation for applied social research for a diverse range of government and non-government partners. Largely externally funded, the current projects include an analysis of the needs of homeless young people, cross-sectoral planning for community development, treatment outcome indicators for young people in drug and alcohol services, wellness approaches in allied health, a biographical project on Patricia Giles, evaluations of early interventions for marginalised communities, and a number of projects examining Indigenous health and wellbeing. The Centre also hosts a weekly seminar series.
